Our Quality Standard


Internationally Certified Beef

Soma Farm raises our cows in compliance with Australian welfare and rearing standards, and is committed to continuing to observe international best practices and to complying with applicable standards and certifications. Only a handful of food producers in any industry in Cambodia is ISO certified, so while this certification is not necessary, our standards for safety and quality set us apart.

Sorted and Graded Chicken Eggs

Soma Farm raises our cows in compliance with Australian welfare and rearing standards, and is committed to continuing to observe international best practices and to complying with applicable standards and certifications. Only a handful of food producers in any industry in Cambodia is ISO certified, so while this certification is not necessary, our standards for safety and quality set us apart.

We are the first and only meat production facility in the country to be ISO Internationally certified.

Hand Selected Coconuts

At present, there are no applicable certifications or standards for fresh coconuts, but at Soma Farm we take the same quality and safety-focused approach to our fresh coconuts as we do with all of our products, so our customers are assured healthy and delicious coconuts.

The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved.

Our Facilities


Abbatoir and Cold Storage

Soma Farm provides the very highest quality feed, feed mixing, abattoir and meat storage for our fresh beef, using the latest technology to meet international standards for safety and quality. Soma Farm takes care that our beef processing is as humane, quick and sanitary as possible. At Soma Farm, safety and hygiene are paramount, so beef carcasses are carefully inspected before butchering and our meat is routinely tested by the Pasteur Institute in Phnom Penh to ensure that no harmful bacteria and microbes are present in our product. We are confident that our fresh beef is held to the highest standards of safety, quality and flavor.

State of the Art Chicken Housing and Egg Processing

Our chickens live in European-designed, state-of-the-art chicken houses, the highest standard of chicken housing used in Cambodia and in the industry internationally. We have thirty-two dedicated Soma Farm staff responsible for caring for our chicken flock and egg production and processing. We employ international standard good animal husbandry practices, carry out routine checks to ensure the health and safety of our chickens, and pamper our layers with the best quality feed, water, fans and ventilation, and ensure a clean, sanitary environment with daily cleaning. Soma Farm eggs are inspected, sorted, and weighed by machine before cleaning, packaging and delivery to our customers from our warehouse.
